I may have mentioned before that my baking skills WAY outweigh my photography skills–please keep this in mind as you peruse my site! So in an effort to get better lighting, I’ve started using the ottoman in my living room in front of our large bay window as my “staging” area. And there is always something I have to clear away to make room. So I thought, why not clue you in to what is littering my living room as I’m making steak tips. Today, that would be Duplos! This marinade is super easy, as all of my marinades are. Mix all of the ingredients right into a large zip lock bag, add the tips, squeeze out all of the air and seal and then shake/mix and return to the refrigerator until ready. This marinade includes 1/2 cup Balsamic Vinegar, 1/4 cup Brown Sugar, a few squirts of Sriracha (if you like a little underlying heat) and sea salt. Add more sea salt, pepper and/or garlic powder to the tips when you are ready to grill or broil. This is enough marinade for 2 pounds of tips. Grill/broil for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are medium rare in the middle. Or cook to your desired level of “pink”.
